Junior Copywriter (Editorial)
- Remote
- Contractor
- Entry-Level
As Featured on
We’re looking for a junior copywriter who writes clearly, thinks critically, and doesn’t mind digging through boring source material to find what matters.
You’ll be working in the editorial department helping to articulate complex ideas—often financial, legal, or regulatory—to clients who expect clarity, not hype.
We’ll train you, but you need to be obsessive about detail, open to feedback, and willing to learn fast. If your ego gets bruised by edits, this isn’t the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Write and revise client-facing content: blog entries, reports, email communications, website copy, internal guides, and sometimes ghostwritten articles.
- Translate complex topics (offshore structures, asset protection, cross-border compliance, etc.) into plain English.
- Review and clean up older materials to reflect current thinking or updated regulations.
- Conduct basic research to support writing assignments—this could mean reading source legislation, IRS notices, or court rulings.
- Help identify relevant and timely topics for use in our paid and free publications.
- Work closely with editors and senior team members to improve your work and sharpen your judgment.
What We Expect
- You write clean, plain, grammatically sound English.
- You care about getting things right—not just quickly. But you also understand that spending 10 hours to verify a fact isn’t necessarily the best use of time. You recognize the importance of balance.
- You’re comfortable working remotely with minimal handholding.
- You’re not afraid to ask questions when you don’t understand something. (This is very important.)
- You revise your work based on feedback without taking it personally.
- You’re curious—you like learning how things work and chasing down answers.
- You treat AI as a tool, not a crutch, and know how to double-check what it gives you.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience writing in legal, financial, or regulatory fields (even academic or informal).
- A degree in English, law, journalism, or something adjacent—but we care more about your writing than a diploma.
- Working knowledge of international structures, tax issues, or compliance (or a strong interest in learning).
- Experience living internationally.
- Experience working independently as a remote contractor.
Compensation & Advancement
- This is a contractor position, not a salaried employee role.
- Paid hourly, per project, or on retainer, depending on scope.
- Competitive rates for junior-level contributors.
- Potential for ongoing, long-term work if the fit is right.
How to Apply
Please send us:
- A brief note about why you’re interested (no hype—just tell us plainly).
- 1–2 short writing samples of not more than 600 words (preferably non-fiction or instructional).
- Any links or materials that show how you think or approach your work.
We review every application carefully and follow up with everyone who applies.
